Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role 

As the Content Co-ordinator you will be responsible for producing, managing and up-keeping the accuracy and positioning of Otago Polytechnic’s programme information across our key recruitment tools. 

This will include:

  • Understanding and communicating programme information on Otago Polytechnic’s marketing website (op.ac.nz)      and publications that both reflects the programme’s educational outcomes and meets NZQA requirements.
  • Liaising with our internal teams and schools to ensure the accuracy of information and the timeliness of delivery.
  • Maintaining programme information so that our website and publications remain up-to-date and accurate for our prospective learners and their whānau.
  • Working collaboratively with the  Marketing, Communications & Engagement team to provide tactical      support to meet Otago Polytechnic’s strategic objectives and priorities
  • Collaborating with the International Business Division and the Marketing, Communications & Engagement team to effectively coordinate and deliver promotional collateral.

Key to your success in this role will be your skill at being a confident communicator with experience in writing for websites and great attention to detail. You find satisfaction in knowing information is factual and accurate and useful for our learner to make decisions about their future. You are a great editor, who can simplify complex information for a range of different audiences. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to be proactive, energetic and comfortable with taking responsibility and managing your own projects.

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to engage and build relationships
  • Excellent experience using website content management systems
  • Ability to turn complicated information into easy-to-understand language that maintains accuracy
  • Ability to input and manage data
  • Be an effective Te Tiriti o Waiitangi partner by supporting the values and tikaka of mana whenua throughout your mahi  
  • Excellent computer literacy and ability to use full suite of Microsoft products (particularly Word, Excel and SharePoint/Teams).
