Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role 

This position has a specific emphasis on cultural competency leading the Institute of Sports, Exercise and Health programmes in multi-cultural health models (including Māori and Pasifika) in the areas of physical activity and health.  This role includes:

· the co-ordination and preparation of ākonga for Noho Marae for all programmes within our department. 

· overseeing Māori consultation with all ISEH ethics applications on behalf of the Kaitohutohu Office.

· teaching and contributing towards student attendance, course guide information, curriculum development, student results, moderation, progress reports and resource bookings. 

Ko wai koe | About you

Your commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi will be backed by demonstrable working experience in Te Ao Māori, Noho Marae prep, Te Hihiri. Experience in other Sports and Health Frameworks would be an advantage. You will have a desire to help ākonga learn and have strong whakawhanaungatanga skills. You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field.

You will have demonstrable health and safety best practices and enjoy being part of a team who support each other.  You will easily be able to build and maintain relationships and communicate well via email, phone and face-to-face.
