Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role 

As a Lecturer your role will be to design and deliver content in blended learning styles to ākonga in the Bachelor of Social Services programme. 

Your mahi will use a range of approaches to ensure ākonga are engaged with their learning, creating outstanding learning experiences. You will be responsible for the delivery of specific courses along with marking and associated pastoral care.

Key to your success in this role will be your ability to lead by example and share your knowledge, passion and experience with ākonga who will graduate as social service practitioners.

We are looking for an experienced social service practitioner who holds a relevant tertiary qualification and considerable practice experience in the social services field. You will have a sound understanding of current theory and models and a working knowledge of national and international contemporary issues. 

To perform effectively in this role, you will have:

· Experience of working in the social services field 

· Good computer literacy and the ability to use the full suite of Microsoft products (particularly Word and Teams)

· A current driver’s licence

· Commitment to and understanding of responsibilities under Te Tiriti o Waitangi 

· Experience of facilitating learning and positive growth in others

· Relevant professional body membership 

Teaching experience at tertiary level, with associated qualification would be an advantage
