Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role
You will be responsible for day-to-day facilities management and operational leadership of our Custodial, Trades and Administration colleagues within the department ensuring that the work is prioritised, carried out sustainably, and in a cost-effective way. In conjunction with your formal leader, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for future learning facilities and environment that enhance and enable student learning and provide a great working environment. Other duties include leading minor projects as required, (including quoting, scheduling, and managing budgets and timelines) and contractor management.

You will have leadership experience in a similar role, strong organisational skills, a qualification in a trade and / or equivalent experience in construction, project management. You will be a highly motivated team player who is outcomes focussed and has proven analytical and problem-solving abilities who is able to effectively prioritise and execute tasks to a high standard.
You will be a confident people leader with sound operational and financial reasoning, a commitment to equity and sustainability, and a strong focus on providing inclusive, effective people leadership to build a collaborative, high-performing team.
