Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role
The Administrator is a key member of our teams providing outstanding service to our kaimahi (staff) and ākonga (learners) in a specified service area or academic school at Otago Polytechnic
As an Administrator, you'll provide outstanding customer service to ākonga (learners) and support kaimahi (staff) in administrative functions. As a School Administrator, you will be the frontline support, answering student inquiries, varied administration including academic processes, processing of accounts for the area, booking travel, and coordinating ākonga functions and events ensuring all of your mahi completed is customer-centred.

Our preferred candidates will be detail-focussed, pro-active and committed administrators who have highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, a positive and productive team attitude including the drive to be a highly functioning member of our teams. They will have outstanding relationship-building skills which are customer-centred.
You will have significant administration experience and be super organised.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Excellent multitasking skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage time effectively, along with an active commitment to ensuring that timely services of the highest quality are consistently provided are essential.
A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience is essential. An understanding of cultural diversity and the ability to work with a variety of customers is preferred along with familiarity with the tertiary education sector.
